Ingredients

  • 1 cup ice cubes preferably crushed or small pieces
  • 1/2 cup blue raspberry flavored syrup adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced, optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Measure out the ice cubes and place them in a blender.
  2. Pour the blue raspberry flavored syrup into the blender over the ice.
  3. Add the cold water to the blender, helping to loosen the mixture for blending.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is slushy and smooth, about 30-45 seconds. You should hear a consistent whirring sound, and the mixture will look vibrant blue and slightly frozen around the edges.
  5. Stop the blender and examine the texture; it should be uniformly icy and smooth, ready to serve.
  6. Pour the slushie into glasses, allowing the vibrant blue color to flow freely.
  7. If desired, garnish with sliced strawberries or a colorful straw for a playful touch.
    1 cup ice cubes
  8. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon to enjoy the perfect icy texture.

Notes

For an extra tangy twist, add a splash of lemon juice. To make it more luscious, blend in a dollop of yogurt or a splash of coconut milk.
